What is Auragreen Coin (AGC)?
Auragreen Coin (AGC) is a TRC-20 token issued by Avaline LTD and designed as a warehouse receipt for durable carbon removal. The design, set out in the project's published design paper, is that one coin represents one tonne of CO₂e of verified removal - biochar, enhanced rock weathering, bioenergy with carbon capture, biomass carbon removal and storage, or direct air capture - stored for at least a hundred years and held as a live, serial-numbered credit locked in a registry account that a bankruptcy-remote reserve entity controls.
The coin's stated purpose is to give the buyers who must retire durable tonnes - corporates with net-zero targets, airlines under CORSIA, programmes covered by the EU's carbon-removal certification framework - a liquid, fractional and verifiable way to hold and settle those tonnes, which today trade bilaterally in whole units after weeks of registry onboarding. AGC began trading on LATOKEN in September 2026 as the AURAGREEN/USDT pair, and on BiFinance as AGC/USDT on 5 October 2026.
How does the Auragreen reserve work?
The mechanism rests on one substitution: credits are locked in the registry, never retired, to mint. A verified supplier deposits eligible credits into the reserve entity's registry account, the lot is checked against four tests (100-year durability by method, a CCP-eligible methodology, issuance within the last twelve months, and account control) and against concentration caps of 10% per project, 20% per verifier and 60% per registry. The registry immobilises the lot through its own API, the serial ranges are hashed on-chain, and only then are coins minted - one per tonne, less a 0.5% fee retained in tonnes.
The reserve is designed to hold more tonnes than there are coins. A buffer targeted at 5% of supply, with a hard floor at 3%, absorbs invalidations and reversals before they can touch backing; below the floor the mint fee steps up to 5% until the buffer recovers. An independent accountant attests each month that every serial hashed on-chain is a live, locked credit and that the count covers supply plus buffer, and between reports anyone can look a serial up at the registry.
